I bought this so I could listen to my cd player easily without wires between me and it. This transmitter does work for short periods of time. It will often just lose it’s binding to my bluetooth headphones (which work fine with my cellphone and a different bluetooth transmitter), and I have to rebind it to get it to work again. What a pain. I stopped using it and will look for a different transmitter.

I bought this little gadget to use with my jabra bt8040 to combine it with my sansa mp3 player. After a few weeks of research I came across this one and enjoyed the concept and its small size that can fit to any device with a headphone jack.
Well I have not done an extensive review on it to use it at work I have used it a few times to give a short review for those looking for a way to stream audio on bluetooth. This device is a good idea but it has a couple of drawbacks I found.
Plus: Micro USB port to charge on your computer or adapter so that is a nice addition. It has a folding jack so you can fold it up when not in use. One button on the surface. Controls are easy to find. Portable size pretty much not bigger than any other bluetooth headset out there. Light weight. Two color lights in different series. Tech support response within 24 hours.
Now for the downside.
After charging this for a few hours i decided to try this out on my laptop and stream music to my headset. First problem was that it took me a number of tries to get it to connect. Now i am unsure if it was because of all the bluetooth devices around me. Strangely it paired to my Blackberry Storm first before it paired to my headset. I emailed tech support to find out why it was not connecting. Though it managed to connect 10 minutes after I emailed tech support.
You have to hold down the button till it starts to flash red and blue quickly to let you know that it is searching to pair. a slow flashing blue means sleep mode and a slow flashing red and blue means playing. The design on the jack means that it could break with one wrong move. When I took the device with me out for a walk and tried to pair it again to the headset I managed to do it withing ten minutes after turning off my Blackberry’s bluetooth.
Now I found the major drawback is that for some reason the device delivered low volume to the headset even though i had both the volume control on the headset and on the player to full volume. Now this could be a safety reason or there was wind. I will have to try to use this another day when I am at work and see if it would work better indoors than outside.
If this company decides to make a second generation of this, I would recommend that in addition to the red and blue light sequences I would recommend that they add a GREEN indicator light to the unit so that you would be able to tell that it actually paired to a device saving you the time to figure out whether or not it paired till you actually heard the audio. Also i would suggest that anyone who does buy this, that they turn off all Bluetooth devices around you except the one you want to pair it to.

It will pair with the phone, but it does not connect to my Google Nexus One phone, even after following printed directions. Defective!

Initially I tried the JayBird Bluetooth Adapter for MP3 Players (Black) cause it had decent ratings – but it didn’t come with a charger so couldn’t use it. So after looking at all the other adapters on Amazon – all of which had terrible reviews- I thought I’d give this no-name brand a try. It’s more expensive than the JayBird so I was hopeful it would sound great. Sadly that is not the case. There is _significant_ static when paired with my SD-9 HDs. The same headphones sound fantastic when paired with my computer, laptop and phone. I tried a couple different audio sources in case it was the plug but there’s static even when it’s not plugged in to any audio source.
Pairing was also a bit tricky. Most bluetooth devices follow a pretty common convention – hold the power button down for an extended period and it starts to flash and pair with other devices nearby. This one is no different _but_ it starts to flash after about 3 seconds holding down the power button indicating that it’s doing “something”. Turns out something is turning on. You have to continue holding down the power after it starts flashing until it flashes both red and blue. After doing it once its easy, but it can be confusing at first.
It still suits my needs as an adapter for my Zune during workouts. If I knew about the static ahead of time I’m not sure I would have paid the $60 for it.

Does anybody have any experience with the Philips MC235B Flat Wall Mountable Micro Shelf System I was thinking about obtaining it and just wasn’t certain if its the greatest a single to purchase.
